Iain’s compositions are written sensitively and his down to earth approach comes from his work as a shepherd on the beautiful Isle of Mull off the West Coast of Scotland, His songs and tunes of the changing face of Argyll inspires his listeners and moves the hearts and souls of his audience.
Gregor is one of the best known accordion players in Scotland today. His dynamic and subtle playing style contributes greatly to the bands unique sound.
Gregor is well known also for playing with the bands Blackeyed Biddy and Ceilidh Minogue.
Marc Duff co-founded the celtic band Capercaillie with whom he has toured extensively and made many successful recordings. His time spent at the Guildhall School of Music has given him an eclectic taste in music and a distinct style of playing which has kept him in demand as a session musician and a teacher. Since leaving Capercaillie in 1995 to pursue his own career, he has worked with many prominent artists, playing low D whistle, Bodhran, bouzouki and wind synthesizer.

Gordon has worked with Michael Marra, Corrina Hewat, Martyn Bennett, Karen Wimhurst and Mr McFall’s Chamber. Musical priority at the moment is playing double bass with The Sorren Maclean Band - one of 2007’s T Break bands. Played with Edinburgh band Jock Tamson’s Bairns in the late 70s before moving back to the Isle of Mull to work on fishing boats. Led his own band Sienna Moon in the early 90s with musicians including Steve Kettley, Jack Evans and Dutch drummer Niek Welboren. Released solo CD of original songs in 2000. Floating On Oceans featured percussionist Dougie Hudson and poet Ian Stephen as well as Steve, Martyn, Jack, Karen and a number of Mull singers and musicians. Also performs with Tobermory band RADAR led by songwriter Ross Baird as well as playing with singer/songwriter Sam Sedgewick and with The Iain Thomson Band.
Richard is a full time sound engineer working from his own studios in Edinburgh.
He enjoys the opportunity to get out on the road and play with the band.
Abigail Lightbody has been playing with the band for 2 years. She plays low whistle and also sings backing vocals. Abigail also plays the fiddle and won the gold medal in the under 18’s competition in the Glasgow Mod at the age of 12. She is currently studying music at school with fiddle and whistle as her main performance instruments and is about to start a higher music course. Abigail is no stranger to performing on stage, having played a lead role in a number of amateur dramatic performances.
Deborah has been playing the fiddle since she was five. She made her first appearance with her Father at Craignure Inn on Mull at only six and played great versions of “Three Blind mice” and “The Can Can”.
She is studying music at school playing both violin and flute and is also a pupil of Catriona MacDonald.
She was keen not to be involved with vocals in the band but has taken to it like a duck to water.
